The 34th CSUN Assistive Technology Conference was held from March 13th to 15th, 2019 in Anaheim, California, USA. As an innovative brand in the assistive devices for visually impaired people, Zoomax has participated in the exhibition for the ninth times in 2019.
The highlight of Zoomax booth were new Snow 12, the latest member of Snow family video magnifiers with 12-inch large-screen and OCR, and Acesight, one of the most popular wearable visual aids featuring excellent image quality especially when the electronic glasses were used to watch TV.
The electronic glasses Acesight kept drawing attention after it launched in 2018. At this exhibition, Acesight not only featured the comfortable wearing and great image, but also got recommended by professionals and optometrists who already tried Acesight on the people with low vision.
The new Snow 12 video magnifier was infused with a new design concept to the original Zoomax product, breaking the difficulty that the traditional hand-held video magnifiers had on handwriting. The configuration of the foldable stand allowed the users to obtain both the lightness of the hand-held video magnifier and the adequate space of desktop. A full page OCR text-to-speech, inherited from the Snow family units, was the highlight of Snow 12 too. After exhibited at CSUN, the Snow 12 video magnifier will be available soon on the market.
As one of the largest exhibitions globally in the assistive technology (AT) for the visually impaired people, the CSUN conference included more than 300 educational sessions and 122 exhibiting booths, attracting more than 5,000 visitors around the world. Lots of companies that involved in AT were displaying the cutting-edge assistive technology and products, including Amazon, Google, Microsoft and the enterprises whose main business is AT for the people with visual impairment and severe low vision.
