Low vision products developer and manufacturer Zoomax attended Assistive Technology Industry Association (ATIA) 2017 Conference in Orlando, Florida as an exhibitor. On ATIA 2017, besides the regular video magnifiers, Zoomax took the new handheld video magnifier M5 HD Plus which made its first show on an international exhibit.
M5 HD Plus is an upgraded version of handheld video magnifier M5. Keeping the “2HD” (HD camera and HD screen) of M5 setting, for elderly people preferring to traditional button operation or ones who couldn’t handle touch screen, M5 HD Plus was additionally equipped with Full Button system as well as the original Touch + Button system to assist low vision people to restore the independent daily life through their acquainted ways. As the first and the only dual systems video magnifier, M5 HD Plus drew great attention from visitors with its unique design and gained good reputations.
At ATIA 2017, besides the low vision devices displaying, Zoomax received visitors engaged in low vision field globally from USA, Mexico, UK, Japan, Korea, Hong Kong and other countries or regions, including personal users, researchers, visual impairment teachers, university students doing visual aids projects, etc. After trying the video magnifiers, visitors offered abundant comments from personal angles with excellent value, which could be an extremely productive and creative activity for Zoomax innovation. Since ATIA was not an exhibit only about visual aids, a learning of rich solution for various disabilities was delivered by other assistive technology organizations and enterprises.
