Supporting Learning Beyond One Classroom
📌Challenge
Students may need visual support across classrooms, libraries, and home, while different devices can involve trade-offs between portability, viewing space, and workspace.

Its foldable, portable design fits easily into a backpack, allowing students to use the same visual support at school and at home for reading, writing, and homework.
Viewing Fast-Changing Classroom Information
📌Challenge
Students need flexible ways to access textbooks, worksheets, digital documents, and online assignments.

Why Vision Educators Choose Snow Pad

Rebecca W.
Teacher Consultant for the Visually Impaired
I have been able to trial the Zoomax Snow Pad with two of my students, and it has succeeded within the educational setting for 6 months. The Snow Pad would replace the larger Chromebook other than state/district assessments at this time as well as the bulky, heavy desktop Jupiter. The Snow Pad is considerably lightweight and portable. It can be folded up and carried in a backpack to different classes quickly.
Michelle R.
Special Education Teacher
We started using the Snow Pad with a 4th grader who has low vision, and honestly both of us picked it up in one sitting. He can zoom in on worksheets and adjust the contrast himself without constantly asking me for help, so he's actually keeping up with the pace of the lesson now instead of getting stuck because he can't see something. The image quality is also way better than what we had before — text and diagrams stay clear when magnified, not blurry at all.

James T.
Teacher of Students with Visual Impairments
The portability of Snow Pad turned out to be better than I expected. Before, when students switched classrooms, I often had to help them pack up their equipment. Now they just fold the Snow Pad up and put it in their backpacks on their own — no extra help needed. And from a school budget perspective, it makes way more sense to have one device that moves with the student across different classrooms than to have a bulky desktop magnifier sitting in one spot. Our team is pretty happy with the investment.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can educators and students try Snow Pad before purchase?
Depending on your region, we can work with Zoomax partners or explore other options to help arrange a demonstration or trial device. Contact us with your evaluation needs, and we’ll help determine the best option for your students.
What training is needed for students and educators?
Snow Pad is designed for simple, tablet-based operation and does not require complex installation. Built-in guidance videos can help users learn basic functions, while we are glad to provide additional product guidance and support where available.
Can Snow Pad work with tablets already used at school?
Yes. Snow Pad is designed to work with compatible tablets already used by schools or students. It currently supports:
- iPad, iPad Air, and iPad Pro running iPadOS 16 or later, across available screen sizes;
- Xiaomi Pad running Android 8 or later;
- Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE and Galaxy Tab S10 FE.
This allows schools to make use of existing tablet resources rather than requiring a dedicated tablet for every Snow Pad device. Compatibility may vary by tablet model and operating system, so we recommend confirming compatibility before purchase.
Can students use Snow Pad at both school and home?
Yes. One Snow Pad device can be connected to different compatible tablets with the Snow Pad app installed, allowing students to use the same device across school, home, and other learning environments.
